A great bar to hang out, enjoy the sunset, and soak in the good atmosphere. The vibe is super chill and friendly — perfect for relaxing with friends after a long day. Nice drinks, a beautiful view, and such a lovely place to spend the evening at Bang Tao Beach with beautiful fire show
We were seated after we had to promiss to spend 2000 baht or more…well that’s a nice way of being welcomed but with 400 baht for a glass of wine, it ain’t that hard to reck up a bill. The food was nice, although the service needs improvement. They only brought out two plates (three people)and the rice to go along with the dishes came 20 minutes late. The brownie with berries, has three frozen blueberries and one frozen strawberry, tough for 390 baht. The other two deserts only came after asking more that 15 minutes later and were melted. So, yeah lovely fireshow, nice setting on the beach, although our table was standing so much to one side in the sand, everything almost fell off. For the rest? Not impressed.
A great first time experience at Smigos where we came for some evening drinks, sunset and a fire show which were all fantastic. We got front row seats in 2 bean bag chairs (minimum spend of £50, drinks and food included) for a great view of the sunset and fire show. Only improvement for me and my partner was the service. There’s a lot of people and it gets very busy quickly so the waiters are running around trying to serve everyone. This can lead to them forgetting to get food or drinks which led to me getting up and finding a waiter so order some drinks. Other than that, the fire show was fantastic!
Nice spot on the beach to watch the sunset comfortably, but the service really needs improvement. The staff and waiters were very distracted: they brought our food to the table without any cutlery, and it took me around 10 minutes to get a waiter’s attention just to ask for it, so by the time I could start eating, my dish was already cold. We had also asked more than once for mayo and ketchup with the fries, but they only brought mayo. In my opinion, the prices are quite high compared to the overall experience: the place is nice, but the service and attention to the customer don’t match the price level.
Been there a few times. Consistent experience. Good food, the fire show is high quality, starts daily at 7 pm (apart from Mon). The staff is trying hard. One of the best places on the stretch from Rawai to Layan.
