Food wasn’t bad, service was good I visited Baikingu Buffet for the first time on February 20th around 1 PM. It wasn’t bad overall, but I probably wouldn’t return. The food was just okay. I was expecting higher quality, especially since I’ve had better sushi elsewhere in Phuket. The salmon seemed a bit dry, although the tuna was surprisingly tender — the softest tuna I’ve ever had. The service was decent, but the staff seemed tired. Perhaps management could consider giving employees an extra day off to maintain energy and service quality. It was very busy during lunchtime, and I didn’t enjoy the noisy atmosphere from nearby tables. I would also appreciate more menu options, such as lettuce or healthier wrap choices. On a positive note, I really enjoyed the beverage corner — it offered a wide variety of drinks and was very satisfying.
What people say
Baikingu impresses with fresh, authentic Japanese buffet fare—sashimi, gyoza, and desserts especially shine—served remarkably fast via QR-code ordering. Quality varies by visit; some find sushi exceptional while others note inconsistency, and busy periods strain service. Best for groups wanting variety without the wait, though solo diners appreciate the speed too.
